Government Special Announcement, Monthly Environmental Cancel in Benin

                     

Edo State government in Benin has cancelled the monthly no-movement Environmental Sanitation for the month of November ending.


In a Government Special Announcement communique sent out by the Ministry of Environment and Public Utilities, the Edo State Commissioner for Environment ant Public Utilities said

The communique reads:

This is to inform the general public that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold this Saturday 29th November 2014 between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 am without restriction of human and vehicular movements.

The general public is hereby directed to clean-up their premises, drains in front of their houses and collect the refuse together for easy disposal by the Edo State Waste Management Board.

Consequently, all local governments Councils are directed to adequately finance their Environmental Health Department to embark on an intensive evacuation of refuse within their council areas.
